Hi everyone, I'm trying hard to find a job but with the LLM job application onslaught and the ongoing systemic queerphobia, I'm not even getting rejection emails back. I'm desperate, my partner and I are each others primary carers, our safety net is running out fast, and our support network has dried up as everyone we know is facing their own struggles.

I've got US work permissions, but I'm willing and able to contract internationally for anyone who can be flexible. I'm looking for any remote work, tech/IT preferred, but I'll take anything right now.

I'm an experienced Linux system administrator, helpdesk support, and software developer. I know Python, Rust, C, Bash, Perl, Ruby, PHP, Go, Docker, and I've been around enough that I can get up to speed with new languages and unfamiliar codebases quickly.

My partner got a stamp in their passport in USCIS without any trouble

And we need more currency so we can get them a drivers license (36usd) and the license plates for the Nissan leaf (200usd and requires a special ev license plate in Colorado) so we can avoid a 500usd fine that we are under threat of facing in boulder
We have to drive over 100 mi to get to the DMV because we are in the mountains which means we have to drive quite a distance which is around 30 in ev charging
Charge point also stole 50usd for a week on a faulty charging station

But by getting documents and such we can get things together
After they sort out their documents I will be able to get mine together and get a job or fedihired
