Hi, yes, hello. I'm looking for work again. I'm a general purpose data person (data/analytics engineer/data scientist/analyst) with a background in operations and various office roles. I'm most interested in working at a nonprofit but will accept pretty much any role at a company that isn't actively destroying the world. I need to work remotely for health reasons on a Pacific timezone schedule.
Know something that might be a good fit? Please let me know! Thanks much.
Hi! I'm a long term #Sysadmin ➡️ #Devops ➡️ #SRE ➡️ #PlatformEngineer contractor / freelancer looking for unix-adjacent work, either remote or in Melbourne 🇦🇺.
I have a mixed pedigree of on-premises and cloud and even the occasional foray into mainframes.
I've done a lot of work for startups that may not need a full time infra person to launch yet want to get the foundation solid from the outset. I am good at building novel systems from open source components to meet an organisation’s needs.
I enjoy being on teams with interesting and diverse colleagues and like to think I contribute that back too.
More blurb about me at https://www.zikomo.xyz/
Boosts and replies appreciated, thank you.
I have been thinking about a career change for a number of years, but without much direction. I have worked in the UK finance sector for over 20 years, and within finance teams doing various roles for over 25. I'm a maker at heart, but also technical and would like some way to balance these more going forwards.
My need for change is being pushed by constant talk of values at work, but their values seem to always be compromised by the ultimate end goal, and I feel at odds with it especially with world events at the moment. It also doesn't help that I am AI resistant.
Does anyone have experience changing career when over 40, and especially when contemplating leaving a finance role? Really lost in the multitude of jobs to know where my skills might be valued and at a company with good ethics?

This LinkedIn post resonates … wanted to share here just in case there are others who are in this situation too.
Also one reason I hardly ever add to this 🧵any more is that, of course, I am literally trying to #FollowTheMoney, or rather, divert some from somewhere to my bank account😄 #JobSearch #FediHire

Hi, I'm brib. I've recently done a bunch of instancehopping but I'm liking this #GoToSocial instance thing so I think I might stick around here for a while.
In case the rampant self-hosting doesn't make it obvious, I'm a tech worker, or at least I would be if the tech industry wasn't quite so evil. In the meantime I'm looking for work. #FediHire me if you want someone who likes tinkering with servers and has achieved a better uptime over February than Amazon or Claude.
I draw sometimes (but haven't done this in a while), I write sometimes (and got Low Spoons Day endorsed by @WeirdWriter !), I jump between projects like the #AuDHD-er I am, and... yeah. I don't know where my time goes, but I have a sneaking suspicion it might be shitposting on here.
I'm looking to meet fellow queerdos and #plural folk and neurodivergent peeps and techies who are just as fed up of AI bullshit as myself. Please say hi if we seem to vibe 😀 .
