I am still looking for work.

I am a software developer, based in Sydney, Australia.

I have years of experience across working within organisations as well as a freelancer engaging with clients directly.

Most of my experience has been as a full stack web developer, I have a lot of experience designing user interfaces with CSS and other frameworks, as well as writing business logic on the backend (good with working with APIs, databases etc).

I like being able to see the big picture, how everything interacts with each other, how the parts fit into a cohesive whole.

I like being connected with the "why" of what I am doing.

You can see some of my work, as well as the source code behind it here on my portfolio: sashin.dev

Ideally I would like a permanent part-time remote role. I am also open to contract work.

If you are interested in hiring me, please get in touch at chain-owl-empathy@duck.com

I want to start making this posts more frequently.

I am adding this tag so that anyone that would like to could mute it.

Boosts appreciated :)

Very rare tech for good Klaxon:

@torproject is looking for someone to lead the team that handles their project and grant management functions.

    - Global remote (with US embargo location exceptions)
    - $120-130k USD
    - Peerless privacy geek cred

Along with crowdfunding, folks, i am really really looking for contract work (or FTE). I'm a full-stack web developer, mostly PHP on the back-end, rock-solid HTML/CSS/JS on the front-end. I do and extensively, and i'm a wizard with SQL. Need a website? Please get in touch!

(I'm in the BC Lower Mainland in Canada but prefer remote work.)

        Dear Fediverse,

after some ups and downs over the past months and my departure from @sovtechfund, I’ve decided to move into freelance IT consulting. I even created a website 😅: swillus.eu.

I'm offering support around Open Source (as in OSPOs, policies, programm management), Supply Chain Security (also in terms of CRA readiness) and Engineering Management.

Let me know if you know someone who needs support. Thanks! ❤️

A difficulty has developed in my small-town area (unincorporated population about 300) of coastal Northern California that might be just the thing for a community-minded (or -desiring) auto mechanic looking for a fresh start. The forest town basically has two businesses: the general store and the hardware-store-plus-auto-shop—both community hubs. The wonderful owner of the latter, in his mid-70s, is having trouble finding reliable mechanics and seems at his wits’ end. The current two guys seem . . . more interested in other things. My guess is that the right person or people, doing a good chunk of respected work, could eventually run things. The community is a mix of persuasions who more-or-less make it work; an even keel is key. Cost of living can be high unless you’re lucky and/or give it time; this endeavor would be more about being in this beautiful place. Let me know if you’d like more info. I’ll gauge the response and then see if he’s up for receiving emails.

Hey gang, I really need a job. UK, remote, something to do with computers.

I've been doing all sorts of software plumbing for a decade now, I can speak C, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, even a bit of Assembly for certain architectures in a pinch.

I might not be extremely specialized in any one area but you bet I can solve that one nagging problem you're not sure what specialist you need for. I've done frontend, backend, embedded, everything.

            Please boost!
