A client of mine in the UK is looking for an experience contract IT support engineer. Initially, they'll be handling a few specific projects — Google Workspace hardening, macOS hardening via Kandji, a Yubikey rollout, deployment of MDM for mobile devices, etc. There will be some additional ongoing business as usual IT support on the side and also continuing after the initial project work is done. Company is in London, can be mostly remote though. DM if you're interested and feel free to pass it on to folks who you know are qualified. #getfedihired
Hey everyone,
The time’s come for me to search for a new role.
I’m a Lead/Staff iOS developer, with something over 10 years experience. I’m based in Canberra, but I’m very happy to be remote, too. Up for other things as well!
Let me know if I can send you my CV!
Huw
I'm still looking for a job. Preferably part-time, 3 full days a week.
I'm a software developer based in Sydney Australia.
I'm open to remote work, assuming the hours work.
I'm good all across the stack, HTML, CSS (and preprocessors), javascript (and frameworks), sql, python, bash, git, linux etc
I really love using Rust and Elm.
You can see some of what I've made and done here: https://sashin.dev
I'm also great with communicating, both writing and speaking. I have a lot of experience with both.
I'm happy to learn anything on the job to fill the gaps.
I'd prefer permanent work, but I am also happy with contract work to make money in the meantime.
If you are interesting in hiring me, please contact me at: chain-owl-empathy@duck.com

MUTUAL AID - RENT - PAST DUE - $1418/2700
hello! my name is rachael. i am a trans woman trapped in a red state. i live with my disabled partner and two dogs. i was fired from my previous job for being trans. since then, i have diligently searched for new employment, but no one local wants to hire a trans person, and remote jobs are increasingly rare.
as i continue my job search, i need to maintain a roof over our heads. we need to continue to survive as i continue my efforts. as such, i am asking for help making rent as well as paying our utilities and other bills. this will allow us to stay safe as i try to navigate the professional world's rampant transphobia.
additionally, i am eager to hear of any job opportunities you may be able to refer me to. i have a decade of experience in software development, with my previous role of six years being a senior fullstack position that included project planning, management, and maintenance, as well as mentorship and client communication. i am open to any position, even entry-level, that is either remote or in seattle or indianapolis. i hope to relocate to seattle as soon as possible, but i will do what i need to survive.
our goal is $2700. i know, thats a lot. im trying my best to find employment. anything you can give would be wildly appreciated and help keep us safe.

if you want to give through another platform, send it to one of the many options @vantablack has listed in their profile. they are very kind and forward donations along to me.
thank you.

Thanks a lot to everybody who has boosted my call-for-help post (linked below) for OpenPrinting!
I got 1082 boosts within somewhat more than one week!
I had posted because Canonical had laid me off and I want to continue OpenPrinting, and need appropriate sponsorship or employment.
Any help is welcome and please continue boosting!

Is anyone looking to hire someone with lots of experience in data analysis and statistics, possibly as a software developer? Specifically related to data science, data engineering or backend development.
I have five years of experience modelling biological processes and data using statistics and more general mathematics as a computational research scientist in stem cell research and writing software to that end. Last year I pivoted to modelling industrial processes and developing our in-house Rust/R/Python/Julia software instead. Unfortunately my employer has now decided to restructure and is letting pretty much all of us go.
I am a fast learner and I have been told that I am an independent problem solver with high initiative. I am located in Mannheim, Germany, I am looking for either fully remote positions or things around this region.
Bonus points if a job features trains or typesetting as I have spent a bunch of time with train schedules, time tables and typesetting personally.
After a 23-year career in HigherEd IT, I have been recently laid off and am ready to #GetFediHired for remote it support, application administration, and security roles.
I have been fortunate to have a long and varied career:
- remote technical support
- SharePoint document management,
- preparing monthly CIS security metrics for our team,
- designing and implementing the first systems-wide combined endpoint asset inventory,
- application administrator for the PaperCut printing platform.

With the time, Canonical has grown and created internal structures as a big-tech, especially how employees are evaluated. With my mostly external work I got a victim of it and they laid me off. All my colleagues do not really understand why I got fired, as they consider my work really important. Got ~30 "I am really sad that you have to go, you do not deserve it, you are doing great work" answers to my good-bye e-mail
