It's wild how far behind North American, European, Japanese and Korean automakers are in the EV space. I submit it is *primarily* because fossil fuel interests are holding them back.
The new tech in China is stunning.
"The EVs were plugged in at 9% state of charge with 93 kilometers of range (57 miles). In 9 minutes and 51 seconds, they charged up to 97% with the range prediction in their gauge cluster displaying 1,008 kilometers (626 miles).
"The Commies” also seem to do capitalism better than "us”:
"The world’s largest EV maker saw its steepest sales plunge since the pandemic, with February sales falling 41% amid cut-throat competition in China's EV market. BYD is now hoping for a comeback by democratizing its cutting-edge new technology.”

Ugh, I'm in full-on car buying mode now, and I'd forgotten just what a bone crushingly frustrating experience it is.
Why do car manufacturers design their websites so badly? Is it so hard to tell me on a web page whether a car is a 5-door hatchback or a 4-door saloon? It's not always obvious from looking at the pictures.
And why in God's name do they not let you download a PDF brochure unless you share all your personal data with them?
Or even at all?

I did not do this just to be a chaos goblin, I needed to move the #Fiat500 we use as one of our fleet #cars around the yard to check its brake drums hadn't seized again and get it ready in case a staff member needs it tomorrow, and there was already another slightly newer one parked in the yard for the repair garage next door..

Took Harry and Haruki to a fundraiser car show on Sunday. We went to this last year, hundreds of cars turned up. The charity behind it says it's the last year as it's so big to manage, hopefully someone else takes over and continues the show and fundraising. Held in a huge park, we got there about 30 mins before official opening and it was already packed.
Everyone was intrigued with Harry and Haruki. It was also Haruki's first ever show!
