A bit concerning if you’re thinking about buying a BYD.
Four Corners got a cybersecurity expert to hack a BYD Shark 6. He was able to remotely control the lights, wipers, locks and audio, track the vehicle and activate its microphone.
The really worrying part? The expert says the access didn’t even require a password.
And Australia apparently has stronger cybersecurity requirements for connected washing machines and vacuum cleaners than it does for cars.
Maybe the rush to put computers on wheels has got a little ahead of the security.

One blue and one red MG M-Type Midget roadsters from the early 1930s on a patch of grass in front of a period building on a sunny day.

A pair of MG M-Type Midgets Saturday at Old Car Festival. Only 3,235 were produced. Several hundred still survive.

These were high-tech sports cars back around 1930, super light with an 847 cc engine designed for racing in the small displacement classes. My friend with the blue one beat a V12 Packard in a drag race later in the day on Saturday.
