@russss how did you end up doing #CO2 monitoring at #emfcamp? Between #fosdem and #eventinfra we are close to spending 10k€ on #airgradient because they do most things right, and we were not able to get our own hardware spun up.

Intention is for everything to go into the eventinfra loan pool so ALL the conferences can monitor their environments.

Before we make that step, we wanted to check if it makes sense to collaborate on fully open hardware, firmware, and software stack instead.

Never underestimate the irritation and stress can be caused by a small, paranoid, petty man with a tiny amount of power who has realised they can’t bullshit you like the others around you.

And the others may be fine to you normally, but they then sit silently endorsing the behaviour when it happens to you, or worse, laugh along when a joke is made at a (woman) engineer’s expense when she isn’t on the call to defend herself.

@thisisjofrank raised #yesallmen to me and others earlier this year at #emfcamp. And she remains right.

I've just placed the first calls through my #strowger #TelephoneExchange collection since #EMFCamp 2024!!

It took 2+ years to get them wired back in after I rearranged the shed to take one of them to emf

All 4 of the #ElectroMechanical exchanges return dialtone when prodded from DECT, and the DTMF to pulse converters still work!

There are a lot of faults for me to fix before I can even contemplate letting anyone else dial in - but OMG IT'S ALIVE!

As info lead… please see if you can help me and my very smol but efficient team experience more of #EMFCamp in 2028 than we did in 2026.

I have electronics and a can-do attitude... but I don't know what to do with them. I have the shiniest most amazing #emfcamp Spaceagon badge, and a microbit, and Raspberry Pis aplenty.... but my mind is blank about what to DO with them. My creative is broken.

Just because @jonty wanted asteroid spin to transfer to the ship on collisions there is now a new version of my Asteroids with Physics game on the #tildagon app store. This version adds thruster style rotation with angular momentum. It makes it much more space like to play. I also changed the controls to work much better with the Spaceagon joystick.
