Its Day 2 at EMF and we're loving seeing everyone again, looking at the fantastic installations and projects! If your talk and workshop schedule is anything line ours, this @emf is shaping up to another good one!

A reminder to take care of yourselves, drink water, seek shade, take breaks and wear sunscreen. Be kind to each other!

My #embroidery “baygoose tapestry” is now live on the wall of the Robot Arms at #emfcamp . That means I can’t work on it anymore and have to find something else to do with my hands, eyes, and mind. Luckily there seems to be a lot going on here!

Electromagnetic Field 2026 Saturday Marathon Tower of Hanoi solve (16 discs) 09:00 to 17:00 | Maths Village | Performance | Ayliean MacDonald Puzzle solving as an endurance sport and performance art piece! The optimal solution to the classic "Tower of Hanoi" puzzle doubles in length for every disc added to the tower. Drop by and watch Ayliean attempt a SIXTEEN DISC tower!! It's going to take all day, so don't watch the whole thing, but the base disc will only move once at the half way point - what a highlight to be present for! This is likely the longest Tower of Hanoi solve that any human has ever done, but we'll never know and nobody really cares!

At #emfcamp there's a scale model of the solar system. Earth is about a millimetre wide, the sun and inner planets are all at the big blue tent. Neptunes orbit stretches to the edge of the camp.

This photo is taken after ascending out of the gravity well to Herefordshire Beacon, about a light day on the same scale and roughly as far as Voyager 1.
