I have officially finished GooseVenture and have handed the files over to the #EMFCamp arcade team.

In this text-based adventure game you play as Name Namesley, a low-level employee at SoftBank, as they go on a quest to work out why the company's eggs aren't multiplying.

Along the way you meet a blue-haired man with many hats, the odd monster, and there's even a chance you'll find a creature of unknown yet mythical value.

If so, let me know... I can help you with the content requirements, and help you with formats, and also schedule time for your content.

The theme of EMF is Space... but the planetarium doesn't only have to show the usual stars and things, it's a 360 degree immersive experience and planetarium dome and we can show any content in it.

The usual ideas:

• Constellations (maybe presented in a new way?)
• Solar system and planets
• Milky way

New ideas you could make this weekend:

• What might it look like to be inside the core of the earth?
• What would a crazy space battle look like if you were in it? (pick your favourite game, figure out how to render it in the required format as a video)?
• What does cosmic goo look like if it were dripped on the dome and you're all actually inside a glass sphere watching it happen?
• Can you visualise global train and air transit from inside the globe? (watch the planes complete great circles above your head - and see the speed of Japanese trains compared to DB trains)

the Planetarium is open for ideas.

we will of course have family shows that are regular planetarium specialities, but we invite the demoscene and everyone else to make things for the dome.

My todo list is shrinking and so my excitement has some space to grow!

Here’s what I’ll be up to at #EMFCamp this year:

- The arcade! Come visit the RRS Arcadia, an inter-dimensional spacefaring vessel that has touched down at EMF, packed with over 40 artifacts and portals to other worlds. We’ve had wonderful submissions from very talented developers and makers this year, come show them some love.
- @BodgehamVillage, for crumpets, cryptid finding, karaoke, pub quizzes, coconut shys, and other rural English village buffoonery.
- #emfnaturenet: @ewanp, @libbymiller and myself will be doing some bioacoustics monitoring and programming, including bat walks and playing with the data from our sensors in the Greenhouse’s dedicated batcave.
- Hexpansions! I’ll have a stash of 2 hexpansions. One is a bat-shaped bat detector with an ultrasonic mic and headphone jack, and the other is the Bodgeham Smart Pass, a NFC tag programmable over the Tildagon’s i2C interface.

Hey #emfcamp Tildagon hexpansion fans, question for you:

How vital is it that a hexpansion that you like has a working app for its main functionality before you pick it up? And would that affect whether you e.g. bought it at the hexpansion daymarket?

📕 Stamps in the booklet

We told you there was space for stamps and we’ve seen you starting to make them, and having Questions.

- the booklet will have 8-10 x A6 pages for stamps or stickers
- you get a booklet when you get your wristband
- the pages are not divided into squares so there is no standard stamp size
- the paper is slightly shiny (see this 2022 vintage booklet)
- we recommend inks with a solvent that isn’t water
- info will have a special stamp

I wasn't planning on having a DECT phone for #emfcamp because it seems illogical when I can use my mobile WiFi calling. What am I missing out on if I don't get one?
