                    With the MG TD’s carburetor problem now fixed, I think I finally have banished the series of woes that kept it grounded for much of this summer. And tonight was a warm, splendid autumn evening for a sunset shakedown cruise to see if the repair would hold.

                        In between, the MGA! AS pretty a car as was ever made. I saw a nice one Saturday morning, too.

                          @vwdasher Hard to believe the MGB came along just seven years after the TF. Bs feel decades newer.

                          This one just placed third in class at the big MG International meet in August. I took advantage of the opportunity to sit in it and confirm that a TF’s footbox is too tight for my feet. My bank account is safer for the knowledge.

                                                                  In most (all?) countries, drivers of petrol/diesel are used to seeing a "totem sign" (apologies if that is not PC term, I don't know of better ones) which shows the price of in big numbers for all to see. You can also walk round the pumps and check individual price displays.

                                                                  Whereas EV chargers do not show *any* price info on the screen until the driver has put in their card/ID and possibly committed to charging their vehicle (I've checked the screens of several in motorway service stations and supermarket car parks) and there isn't any totem sign either, so every driver could already be getting individual pricing..
