The vast majority of the photos I took over the weekend seem to be selfies with beautiful #EMFCamp friends old and new, which I guess says something about the Kind Of EMF I Had. I had a total blast at #emfcamp ; didn't sleep great so was not at the top of my game physically or mentally (esp after going to so many great talks and workshops) but just felt so many warm and fuzzies throughout.

Felt nice to volunteer a bit this time for the design and film teams. If I served you popcorn, I hope it was okay!

Was so nice to see so many people feeling free to embrace and share their interests and identities and just be themselves. I can't wait for next time!

Last time at #EMFcamp 2024 I gave my first talk and sold things in a market for the first time. This year I did my first installation, and my first performance. My daughter did their first volunteering too (proud Dad). Already have ideas for 2028 to take it up a level and have a plan for a #NullSector shipping container installation, and a joint special project with Makespace friends for something we'll need 2 years to build! Loved every minute of it this year (apart from the heat).

@philpem Submit your idea to the CfP when it opens. That is what we did. If you don't mind sharing the idea in advance then ask on here what people think, and just tag it with #EMFcamp

protip for those who are back from #emfcamp: open up your preferred note taking tool today and write down a heap of notes for yourself for 2028. what camping gear worked well, what didn't, what you didn't bring enough of, what you brought too much of, what you wished you had with you, any changes you might want to make to camping location, any useful organisational observations if you were running a village, etc.

in two years you will not remember these things. do it now, thank yourself later.
