My son accidentally became a YouTube star when he was 5 because his special interest was #trains and I had written to South Eastern to ask for some posters.. and well, this happened - totally unscripted, they did buy him the tiny suit though as a surprise - & that's the genuine first time he saw it. He's now 14 and just over 6ft big.. So tempted to submit it as an #emfcamp big screen "advert" but he'd never forgive me ;) So.. for your eyes only...

Unless you all tell me beforehand exactly what you want to buy, I will be totally overstocked on kits you don't want, and won't have enough of the kits you do want. Just like any other event I go to :-)

Unbelievably the thing that was clashing for me with #EMFCamp has been cancelled, so I'm now moving from the 'Awww I can't go to EMF Camp' state to the 'Awww I haven't got a ticket to EMF Camp' state.

Checking the ticket exchange with fingers crossed - if you have a spare ticket that you want to sell please let me know.

I've now moved to the 'Oh yeah! I've got a ticket 🎉' state via the nerve wracking 'I've sent money to someone I don't know in another country and it might be a scam' state.

Are you interested in making custom content for the #Planetarium ?

If so, let me know... I can help you with the content requirements, and help you with formats, and also schedule time for your content.

The theme of EMF is Space... but the planetarium doesn't only have to show the usual stars and things, it's a 360 degree immersive experience and planetarium dome and we can show any content in it.

The usual ideas:

• Constellations (maybe presented in a new way?)
• Solar system and planets
• Milky way

New ideas you could make this weekend:

• What might it look like to be inside the core of the earth?
• What would a crazy space battle look like if you were in it? (pick your favourite game, figure out how to render it in the required format as a video)?
• What does cosmic goo look like if it were dripped on the dome and you're all actually inside a glass sphere watching it happen?
• Can you visualise global train and air transit from inside the globe? (watch the planes complete great circles above your head - and see the speed of Japanese trains compared to DB trains)

the Planetarium is open for ideas.

we will of course have family shows that are regular planetarium specialities, but we invite the demoscene and everyone else to make things for the dome.
