                                  This seems to be a direct result of a lack of effective in (against ) and effects of and increased pace of life - pop music has been around as long as folk have had access to and in car entertainment was widespread in 20th century, but the methods used to access it weren't instant and caused less distraction (the driver would need to obtain and prepare their cassette tape or CD beforehand!)
