I can understand the chap closing down the #repair #garage due to lack of mechanics ( there really must be a shortage up North as they are still trying to get staff for the tuning place I use and thats surely a dream job for anyone who is into #cars ) - but his suppliers are shite if they can't send the correct #clutch - #SMMT database shows if a car has manual or auto 'box from the registration mark and most decent parts places should have access to that (even some parking places show on the screen my car has DSG 'box when I enter the reg mark into their tablet)

Sooner or later incidents like this are likely to get graduated driving licences introduced here (although that means more surveillance to enforce them, and if the worse aspects of #CarCulture are not addressed might only push the bad behaviour slightly along the age group into drivers 20s/30s)

A pair of MG M-Type Midgets Saturday at Old Car Festival. Only 3,235 were produced. Several hundred still survive.

These were high-tech sports cars back around 1930, super light with an 847 cc engine designed for racing in the small displacement classes. My friend with the blue one beat a V12 Packard in a drag race later in the day on Saturday.
